WA Blue Gum Project 2011 is a tax deductible investment in Blue Gum Eucalypts aiming to harvest hardwood for the production of paper.

Key features and benefits

High Demand for Hardwood fibre
The continued reliance on and increased consumption of paper and paper products by developed countries is leading to an increase in demand for the raw materials required for paper production. Hardwood fibre, such as that extracted from Blue Gum is the preferred raw material for the production of high quality paper.

Promoting Ecologically Sound plantation Forestry
The establishment of hardwood plantations in Australia reduces the harvesting pressure on native forests throughout the world. Plantations create a sink for greenhouse gasses and help relieve salinity and soil erosion.

Tax Effective Product Rulings
In order to encourage investment into the agribusiness sector, investing in forestry is 100% tax deductible. (ATO Product Ruling PR 2011/6)

10 Year Project term
The harvest is expected to take place during year 10.

What do we get paid
